Troy's Top 100 Movies #51 Who Framed Roger Rabbit

#51 Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Movies have been mixing cartoons and real life actors for years, Mary Poppins, Song of the South, Pete's Dragon. Actors acting against cartoons is nothing new in Hollywood but very few have done it as well as Who framed Roger Rabbit. The plot centers around detective Eddie Valiant played by Bob Hoskins whose brother was killed while they were investigating a case in Toon Town, a city populated by popular cartoon characters. After that Eddie hates toons, so when Roger Rabbit is thought to have killed Marvin Acme who was playing patty cake with Roger's wife Jessica Eddie has no choice when Roger shows up at his apartment looking for help.
The film also stars Christopher Lloyd as the villainous Judge Doom and Kathleen Turner as the voice of Jessica Rabbit. This is simply a fun movie, there is some great comedy, fun thrills, a great story line and the effects still hold up to this day. If you haven't watched this in a while I highly recommend it.
