Troy's Top 100 Movies, top animated films cont. #66 Aladdin

#66 Aladdin
Imagine if you will, a young seven year old Troy walking into the Carmike Cinema on the corner of 23rd and Grant in Ogden, Utah. Holding hands with his grandma while she buys two tickets to the newest Disney animated film Aladdin. Then imagine that young boy's eyes light up as the lights go down and as the first few bars of "Arabian Nights" begin. Aladdin is the retelling of a centuries old tale of a young boy who finds a magic lamp and awakes a genie and is granted three wishes. Disney hit another home run in 1992 with Aladdin, the story of a young "street rat" who falls in love with the princess but can only marry her if he is a prince. When he finds a magic lamp with a Genie inside, voiced by Robin Williams, he wishes for just that. Along the way he discovers the importance of being honest to yourself and others and the importance of being yourself and not trying to pretend to be something your not.
