Disney certainly was on fire in the mid 90's, following the gigantic success of movies like Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, The Disney animated team once again proved their juggernaut status with release 1994 release of The Lion King. The story follows a young lion cub named Simba, the son of Mufasa who rules over the savanna. When Simba thinks he is responsible for the death of his father, who was actually killed by his brother Scar, Simba runs away and throws himself into exile. While living with his new friends Timon and Pumba, a wise cracking meerkat and dimwitted warthog, Simba's destiny follows him when he runs into his childhood friend Nala and learns what really happened to his father.
