Is The Princess Bride a perfect movie? I think it's pretty close. Rob Reiner's 1987 classic film centers around Buttercup, a young woman who after her true love Westley is reportedly killed she is promised to the snobbish Prince Humperdink. When Princess Buttercup is kidnapped by a trio of mercenaries it's up to the mysterious "man in black" to rescue her. With Prince Humperdink tracking them, it's up to Buttercup to choose between the Prince and the dashing, swashbuckling man in black. Starring a perfect cast including Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin and Chris Sarandon. Princess Bride might be one of the most quoted movies ever! It is a classic in every sense of the word. Rob Reiner is a masterful director and brings to life a great fairy tale, adventure story, with memorable characters and even more memorable lines the Princess Bride will live on happily ever after.
