Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale star as two competing magicians at the turn of the century. When Alfred Borden (Bale) accidentally is responsible for the death of the wife of Robert Angier (Jackman) in a magic trick gone wrong. The two men then become hellbent on one up-ing each other, to the the detriment of their relationships, careers and for one of them, their lives. The Prestige keeps you guessing up until the last shot, and leaves you thinking and wondering who exactly the villain was. The Prestige is a masterful film directed by Christopher Nolan (The Batman trilogy) and also stars Michael Kane, Scarlet Johanssson, Andy Serkis and David Bowie.
