Kicking off my list of my favorite animated films I bring you the stop motion classic The Nightmare Before Christmas. In 1993 this film was unlike anything that had been seen in a long long time. The Nightmare Before Christmas tells the story of Jack the Pumpkin King as he has grown tired and bored with his life, after a successful Halloween he takes a journey through the woods and stumbles upon a grove of trees, each has a different picture on it of a different holiday. After the large bright door with the Christmas tree catches his eye he opens it and is transported to Christmas town. Seeing what he thinks is the missing piece in his life, Jack returns to Halloween Town with plans to make their own Christmas with Jack replacing Santa.
