Troy's Top 100 Movies. #78 The Incredible Hulk.

#78 The Incredible Hulk
This was the second attempt to bring the Hulk to the big screen, After Ang Lee's Hulk in 2000 went down in flames it took eight years to bring the green behemoth back to the screen. This one sees Edward Norton as Bruce Banner as he is trying to live a quiet life. When his location is discovered by the military led by General Ross (William Hurt) and Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth) Banner must head back home to enlist the help of his ex girlfriend Betty Ross (Liv Tyler). With great acting from the main cast and a spectacular end fight scene between Hulk and The Abomination, The Incredible Hulk captures perfectly the destruction and excitement from the comic books. Though The Incredible Hulk didn't do that well commercially, having gone up against both Iron Man and The Dark Knight both released the same year, it is still in my opinion the unsung hero of the Marvel Universe movies and worth another look.
